Monthly inspection checklist for automotive vehicle lifts covering hydraulics, structure, safety locks, and controls.
Vehicle lifts are the most used — and potentially most dangerous — equipment in any auto repair shop. This checklist covers the essential inspection points per ALI/ALOA standards and OSHA general duty requirements: hydraulic system integrity, structural condition, safety locks, arm and pad condition, and operational controls.
Regular documented inspections reduce accident risk, extend equipment life, and demonstrate OSHA compliance. ALI recommends monthly operator inspections plus an annual qualified inspection per ANSI/ALI ALOIM.
