Aviation ground operations take place in one of the most hazardous work environments — jet engines, propellers, moving aircraft, GSE vehicles, and pressurised aircraft systems create immediate life-threatening risks. New ground crew must be thoroughly trained and assessed before working independently on the ramp. A single FOD incident or ramp accident can ground an aircraft and cost millions.
