A pre-use inspection checklist for scaffolding on construction sites. Covers foundations and base plates, standards and ledgers, bracing, platform boards, access ladders, guardrails and toe boards, ties to the structure, and load capacity signage. Must be completed by a competent person before each shift or after any event that could affect stability.
Scaffolding collapses are among the most serious construction site incidents. This inspection takes 15-20 minutes per scaffold and creates the documented evidence that the structure was checked before workers climbed on it.
