The site manager or safety officer must deliver this induction in person. Both parties sign at the end. The induction is valid for the duration of the contract or 12 months — whichever is shorter. A new induction is required for each separate project.
Ensure every contractor understands your site safety requirements before starting work with this induction checklist. Covers site rules, specific hazards, required PPE, permit-to-work procedures, emergency response, and environmental obligations.
Contractors working on your site are your responsibility. A documented safety induction protects workers, demonstrates due diligence, and is a legal requirement in most jurisdictions. No contractor should begin work without completing this form.
