Conduct staff-only drills quarterly. Simulate guest scenarios annually. Brief all observers beforehand. Time from alarm to all-clear. Debrief within 24 hours.
An evacuation drill observation and documentation form for hotel safety managers conducting fire drills involving both staff and, during practice drills, simulating guest evacuation procedures. Records the alarm activation, floor-by-floor clearance times, fire warden actions, stairwell conditions, assembly point procedures, and the debrief that captures lessons for improvement.
Hotel evacuations are uniquely challenging — guests are unfamiliar with the building, may be sleeping, and don't know where the fire exits are. Staff must simultaneously manage their own evacuation duties and guide potentially panicked guests down unfamiliar stairwells. Regular drills build the muscle memory that makes a real evacuation survivable.
