A pre-delivery inspection (PDI) checklist for dealership technicians to complete before handing a new or pre-owned vehicle to the customer. Covers exterior condition, interior fitment, engine bay, electrical systems, fluid levels, road test, documentation completeness, and presentation detailing.
The PDI is the dealership's last quality gate before the customer takes delivery. Catching a scuff, a missing manual, or a firmware update at this stage avoids costly comebacks, warranty disputes, and damage to the customer relationship on day one.
