A pre-shift inspection checklist for mobile and tower cranes on UK construction sites, aligned with LOLER 1998 and BS 7121 series. Covers structural condition, wire rope, hooks, safety devices (RCI, anti-two-block), controls, outriggers, and appointed person oversight.
LOLER requires thorough examination at specified intervals plus regular inspections by a competent person. This daily check catches issues between formal thorough examinations.
