A structured patrol checklist ensures that every guard covers the same locations in the same sequence, documents conditions at each checkpoint, and records any incidents or anomalies in a consistent, legally defensible format. Complete one form per patrol shift. Retain records for a minimum of 90 days or as required by your client contract. Any security incident, intrusion evidence, or emergency equipment failure must be reported immediately to the control room and documented in the incident log.
