OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7) requires powered industrial trucks to be examined before use each day. This inspection covers the visual walk-around (tires, forks, mast, fluids, leaks) and operational checks (brakes, steering, horn, lights, lift/lower) that every operator must perform.
