Proper food storage is one of the simplest ways to prevent foodborne illness — and one of the first things an environmental health officer checks. This checklist walks through fridges, freezers, dry stores, and prep areas to verify that labelling, separation, rotation, and container practices meet FSA food hygiene requirements.

Use daily or per shift as part of your Safer Food, Better Business records. Walk through each storage area and check labels, lids, shelf placement, and use-by dates. Note any issues at the bottom and correct them immediately.
