Walk and inspect each slide from top to bottom. Run water for at least 5 minutes before testing. Do NOT open any slide that fails a safety item.
A daily pre-opening inspection checklist for water park slides and flume rides. Covers flume surface condition, joint seals, water flow rates, splash pool depth and clarity, height and weight restrictions, structural supports, stairs and platforms, and emergency access. Must be completed by a trained operator or maintenance technician before riders are admitted.
Water slides combine speed, height, and water in a way that demands daily verification. A delaminated flume section, low water flow, or shallow landing pool can cause serious injuries. This checklist catches issues that develop overnight or since the last inspection.
